Hibiscus has 5 leaf petals, which are protected by additional petals, so that it looks like two layers of flower petals. The flower crown consists of 5 or more pieces if it is a hybrid. The long cylindrical pistil is surrounded by an oval shaped stem which is scattered with pollen. Seeds are contained in a capsule with five pieces.
